Biography
Elias Vasquez is a Los Angeles-based drummer and percussionist with over two decades of experience across live performance, touring, and studio recording. Rooted in Ventura County, he attended the Jazz Performance Program at Cal State Northridge. He's built a career performing and recording across a wide range of genres — Rock, Jazz, Funk, R&B, and Afro-Cuban.
His performance credits include the Hollywood Bowl's Playboy Jazz Festival, Disney Concert Hall with the LA Philharmonic, and international touring and recording alongside artists such as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Cody Simpson, Postmodern Jukebox, and MIYAVI. He studied under some of the most respected names in the drumming world — Gregg Bissonette, Alex Acuña, Gene Coye, and Walfredo Reyes Jr. — and remains an endorsed artist with Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals.
Elias serves as Staff Instructor at Drum Channel, where he teaches, creates drum transcriptions, and contributes to course production alongside some of the industry's top players.
